Never Quit Never will be offering one-on-one surf lessons for people on the Autism Spectrum at the Never Quit Beach Festival this Saturday, June 5th. This is a great opportunity to learn to surf in a safe environment. Lessons will be $45 if the child is registered byJune 4th and $50 for day of registration. Surfboards, wax, and leashes will be provided. Lifeguards, EMTs, and medical staff will be on hand throughout the entire event. Each registration also includes a Never Quit Beach Fest T-shirt, food and drink, and entry into all of the raffles. You can register online at NeverQuitNever.com or at the event.
Riding The Wave Of Autism: Autism Surf Camp is filled to capacity and registration has closed. The City of Jacksonville Beach is offering one session of camp this summer. HEAL is very grateful to Jimmy Wilkins, Carol Lombardo, Cindy Van Zant, Kim and Don Sears for their hard work, dedication and commitment to surf camp. If the last two events don't fulfill your surfing needs, Surfers For Autism is providing a one-day surf camp in Daytona Beach on August 28, 2010. The event will take place from 8AM- 4PM and will include lunch. Surfers For Autism provides a full day of fun activities such as: bounce houses, fire engine tours, paddle boarding, kayaking, surf instruction, and much more.
