ALAN PICKERT

Alan Pickert, a longtime partner at the law firm Terrell Hogan P.A., has been handling mesothelioma, asbestos lung cancer, auto/trucking accidents, dog attacks, bike accidents, and vaccine cases for almost thirty years in Florida. He has successfully handled over 3,000 asbestos cases and almost 500 wrongful death lawsuits.

He has won numerous awards and honors including the 2017 Florida Lawyer of the Year by the Jacksonville Bar Association, Top 20 Asbestos Lawyers in the United States by Newsweek Magazine, Top 100 Trial Lawyers by National Trial Lawyer, Florida Super Lawyer by Lawyer and Politics, Legal Elite by Florida Trend Magazine, and Top 100 High Stakes Litigators to name just a few. Alan was inducted into the Million and Multimillion Dollar Advocate Forum for Verdicts and Settlements and has received the highest rating possible by Martindale Hubbell. He has been published twice on the topics of asbestos and medical malpractice.

Alan is the past President of both the Jacksonville Bar Association and Jacksonville Bar Association Young Lawyers Section and served on the Board of Governors. He was appointed to a two year term on the Duval County  Ethics Commission. He is a past recipient of the prestigious Florida Bar President’s Pro Bono Service Award for his work with the homeless and underprivileged in North Florida.

He currently is only the third attorney ever chosen from Jacksonville to represent Florida as a delegate to the American Bar Association.      

Since graduating from the University of Florida Law School  in 1991, Alan Pickert has obtained verdicts and settlements totaling over 65 million dollars. He has successfully sued over 50 different manufacturers of asbestos products for his clients who were exposed to asbestos in shipyards, paper mills, the construction industry, powerhouses, home renovations, brake/clutch repairs, and the United States Navy.

Mr. Pickert is heavily involved in the North Florida community and strongly believes in making North Florida a better place for all.  He is the past President of the HEAL Foundation. He is heavily involved with the Cathedral Arts Project for underprivileged children in the great Jacksonville community as well as the YMCA programs for both the youth and Silver Sneaker Citizens. He is a Guardian Ad Litem for children who have been abused and are currently in foster homesHe has continuously served on various other charitable endeavors and non profit  Boards over the past twenty years such as ALS EvansHope, Jacksonville Areal Legal Aid, Sulzbacher Homeless Shelter, Special Olympics, and the Veteran’s Legal Collaborative.
