Kane Sears grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and has been involved in the local autism community from a young age. While in high school, Kane and his family helped start the annual autism surf camp: Riding the Wave of Autism. He continued with his passion by starting a similar event called Autism Lake Day, while attending the University of Florida in Gainesville. Kane continued his education, earning his doctorate from the University of Florida College of Dentistry.
Kane works as a dentist at his private practice in Ponte Vedra Beach. He is a member of Rotoract service club, The American Academy of General Dentistry, The Florida Dental Association, and the Jacksonville Dental Society. He and his wife, Elizabeth, live in Atlantic Beach with their dog Gidget. Kane and Elizabeth have continued to be involved in autism awareness and are still actively involved in the autism surf camp they helped found years ago.
